Live Life Loved

All we want in life is to be loved; accepted as we are and received into welcome arms. Whether we think we deserve it or not, people NEED to be loved. It is profoundly ridiculous seeing the great lengths that we humans will go to, to be loved and even more insane is what we are willing to compromise for our idea of love. I can't speak for every one, but I do know a thing or two about how 'love deficit' can kill a woman's spirit, morph her into a monster and throw her into a desolate darkness. Love is not to be confused with lust or infatuation of the honeymoon type. Love that I talk about is the sacrificial type. The kind of love that can adore a person plagued with a regrettable history; a love that will wait on the most broken of hearts to heal; a love that drives someone to give of themselves without reserve or return. It is a love that we humans actually don't know a lot about, but must learn and practice. It is a great love that we have only seen or heard about once ever happening on this earth. It is the love of Jesus Christ laying down his life for you and for me. I tell you now, that unless you ache to comprehend His death and the grace given freely to us through it. We cannot even begin to understand how to love unselfishly and without motive.
