on a roll...

Ok so just made myself my 4th cup of coffee and am listening to Elliot Yamin (ex Idol), Jon McLaughlin and Maxwell - not bad me thinks. Oh... and writing about 'the inner workings of learning', from neo-nativism stand point. Hmmm... the things we put ourselves through ay? Lol.

I have to say though, I stand in awe of God's amazing handiwork, in the creation of the human being. The body, from a molecular level, right through to the physical only confirms that God really does exist! His specs for us cannot be imitated nor faulted. The human body in motion is an absolute work of art! The more and more I learn, the more I am both astounded and delighted in Gods wonderful masterpieces (which is us). God is soooooooo good - He is real good!

Yay... boys are asleep now, so I can finally finish the backlog of school stuff and house work.
- Better get back to it!

God Bless,

M

NeuroMYTHS

#1 We only use 10% of our brain

We actually use all of our brain, we just don't use 100% all the time - we use parts of it at different times for various lengths of time.

#2 You can only be one type of learner - visual learner, aural learner, kinesthetic learner etc.

We are a combination of these types, some more than others. Effective teaching and learning utilizes all these components.

#3 The left brain is logical, and the right brain is creative. There are “left brain” and “right brain” learners.

There is little evidence for it. The hemispheres are so strongly interconnected that we could never learn with only one side of the brain. Lack of use of one side would lead to atrophy.
