Fish

Stillness after a storm, light after darkness, sunrise after downpour, peace after a dispute, clarity after misunderstanding, strength after adversity.

You appreciate the latter more when it precedes its opposite. The sun seems to shine brighter, the light more brilliant, the peace more satisfying and the strength more awe inspiring.

God is glorified and amplified even more in our lives after our times of testing.

This week, I can only say I got through it, because of God's good grace.

My conversation with God on the way to church was....

"How am I gonna get through today, I just wanna cry?"
God's answer, "Do you love me Rose?"
My reply, being still half asleep and wishing I was heading home and not to church, "Yes, I do Lord".

"No Rose, do you love me?"
"Of course I do Lord, you know I do".

(click... ok I know where you're going with this Lord).

"Rose... do you LOVE me?"
"Yes, Lord, Yes I do love you. I love you with my everything."

"Then feed my sheep"

The point to all this... the week had been difficult with people makin my life difficult. Lol. I just did not want to go to church but I needed to get out of the house, before I exploded. So, I got up anyway, got changed and made myself go. My car conversation with God put everything into perspective that morning. That you can't let your current situation dictate your future destination. God wanted me to serve a purpose, greater than myself and what my current situation allowed. That purpose, superceded my feelings and my hurt. I had a more important role to play that Sunday... to plant seeds.

Anyhow... my Sunday session with youth church went so well. I just wanted to cry through it, because I felt God's presence with me so strongly. I couldn't help but want the young people know that God loves them with a love that is most amazing.

I pray that I planted good quality seeds that day.

The sermon that morning was John 21:1-19... I just stood in awe of God even more after reading that. God is one funny guy man.

In the last part of that reading, Jesus says, "Follow me".

My reply, "What ever you say Big Guy! I'm there". Lol.
